CHANDNI & HARRY WEDDING

A Gujarati Punjabi fusion wedding is a celebration that combines the rich cultural traditions of both Gujarat and Punjab, two major states in India. The wedding ceremony incorporates many elements from both cultures. This may include the exchanging of garlands and the applying of vermilion on the forehead, which are common in both Gujarat and Punjab. The wedding reception may also feature a mix of traditional Gujarati and Punjabi dishes and entertainment, such as garba and bhangra dancing. In a Gujarati Punjabi fusion wedding, the couple may choose to wear traditional attire from both cultures, or they may opt for a more modern look. A Gujarati Punjabi fusion wedding is a celebration that is full of fun and excitement! In addition to the traditional wedding ceremonies and reception, there may be other interactive events that bring everyone together to celebrate the happy couple. For example, the mehndi ceremony, where the bride and her friends and family get intricate henna designs applied to their hands and feet, is a fun and festive event that is enjoyed by all. The sangeet, a party where everyone comes together to sing and dance, is another highlight of a Gujarati Punjabi fusion wedding. And of course, no wedding celebration is complete without delicious food! A fusion wedding may feature a mix of traditional Gujarati and Punjabi dishes, as well as modern twists on these classic recipes. With so much fun and excitement, a Gujarati Punjabi fusion wedding is an unforgettable event that will be treasured by all who attend. Whatever the specifics of the celebration, a Gujarati Punjabi fusion wedding is a unique and special event that reflects the couple’s cultural heritage and personal style.

Gujarati Punjabi Fusion Wedding – Chammak Challo

Harry and I met through a mutual friend when we were finishing up our sophomore year of college. I was throwing a party at my apartment over the summer while I was living in Wrigleyville and Harry had attended with his friends. We hit it off that night and spent the night talking and hanging out with each other and our friends. Over the course of that summer, Harry and I continued to get to know each other better and became friends. That fall Harry started to attend DePaul University which is where I was going to school as well. We would spend time together between classes and would talk throughout the day and night via texting and Skype. On October 22nd, 2011 Harry asked me to be his “Chammak Challo” and we’ve been together since then. Harry and I have been there for each other through the good times and bad. We’re looking forward to starting this next chapter in our lives together as husband and wife, supporting each other as we have been doing so for the past seven years.
